There are two main environmental variables Bearded dragon keepers need to ensure (i.e. temperature and lighting), but what about the humidity? Although, admittedly, often not something to worry about, incorrect humidity in an enclosed environment can lead to all sorts of problems.
Bearded dragons spend most of their daylight time actively basking in the warm sun. This is not only to meat their temperature requirements for normal physiological functioning, but also to absorb ultraviolet rays from the sun.
Bearded dragons need ultraviolet (UV) lighting for physiological and behavioural well being. Ultraviolet lighting is not only needed for Bearded dragons to see better, but also aids in calcium absorption.

To quarantine is defined as the isolation or keeping separate from others. The quarantine period is the time a new or a sick Bearded dragon should be isolated before it is introduced to, or allowed contact with other Bearded dragons.
